Here goes my attempt at compressing several mental days into a cohesive report..
Now I’m pretty sure you remember the snow last week, All the airports except one was closed and we drove through the blizzard despite all traffic advice to fly to Malaysia. So from minus -2 temperatures, 12 hours on the plane then straight into 35+ with pretty much 100% humidity..

It seems our appearance at this event was greeted with great interest and we had a few P.R. type of things to deal with, some more excrutiating than others, this one was cool Malaysian Tv did a big promotion for the event so this is us at the Tv studio. Amongst the other agonising duties were a Q&A with all the local writers (they were cool) but the idea of public speaking isn’t what I assumed was part of graffiti when I started all those years ago. But the Blackbook signing session was pretty funny..

Malaysia has some of the coolest drinks I’ve ever come across, Amongst them are Tea Tarik, which is some type of condensed milk tea that gets flung through the air and tastes strange but nice. A Heavy Artillery crew favourite was Milo which is often served in a plastic bag and is basically hot chocolate and ice so the drink kinda cools as you drink it, very unusual but so so nice.

One of the sponsors Air Asia went to town on their love for all things graf.

Now, as spots for jams often end up being in secluded spots hidden away in the back ends of whichever city is hosting, This one was as ridiculous as it was big. (These pics are taken from one spot simply turning around). One side is completely trackside and is just under a kilometre long, previously one of the most hit, most quickly buffed spots in the city was now a legitimate wall for graffiti. I really can’t express quite how central this spot is..

Considering how young the Malaysian scene is there was a large amount of competent writers and some of the other South East Asian talent were blazing. The guys from Indonesia and Thailand were burning and considering the paint these guys rock with its off the chart what they can get done.
It wasn’t quite as cool as meeting Tony Carcetti but the mayor of Kuala Lumpur was an OG, his wife’s dress looked like Bonzai had painted it and the dude on the left looked he’d been mixing his own paint.
Speaking of which, The Super Sunday crew have gone out and managed to get hold of their own spray paint making equipment and have started mixing up their own paint into cans that have the normal valve system (All Asian cans have the old school carplan female caps). Obviously without any expertise in the mixing and creation of paint the results are mixed this dude has clearly suffered at the hands of a bad batch..
All the waffle aside here are some pieces..
AROE MSK HA, THEM AIN’T LIED. (painted in Pilox, Anchor & Super Sunday homebrew)
JIROE HA ADL RTS.
ROID MSK HA.
GARY MSK HA.
To be honest GARY pretty much taught everyone a lesson in how to paint with appalling paint.
Two words of warning when visiting Malaysia..
Don’t mess with the dudes at the cash machines..

Don’t mess with drugs..
